It was a misty morning in the Scottish Highlands when Jamie Fraser first laid eyes on Vanessa Cypher. She was a humble peasant girl, with hair as black as midnight and eyes as bright as the stars above. Jamie was instantly captivated by her beauty and grace.
Despite her lowly station in life, Vanessa was well-educated and well-spoken. She had a sharp mind and a kind heart, and Jamie found himself drawn to her in a way that he had never experienced before.
As the weeks turned into months, Jamie and Vanessa grew closer. They spent long hours together, walking through the hills and valleys of the Highlands, talking about everything under the sun. Vanessa was the first person in a long time who made Jamie feel truly happy, and he knew that he was falling in love with her.
One day, as they sat by the banks of a gurgling stream, Jamie took Vanessa's hand in his own and looked deeply into her eyes.
